The opening track, “Abundant Bank,” depicts the outlaw and out-of-place loner who will do whatever is necessary to provide for himself and his family. To evade capture, the wanted is now on the run, placed in the “Prowler Position.” Still, it is not the law that leads to repentance, but the self’s own “Enduring Witness.” Locked in “Raw Shank,” wits are sharpened and, in “Mighty Bomb Jack,” the self-imposed exile is breached. Through introspection, a new “Papyrus Code” emerges, the self is sanctified, and the ensuing “Pandemical Madness” solidifies an awareness: the existence of an individual and collective spark. Recognizing the divinity of self, authenticity is emboldened, and the “Highness Bow.” If we are a continuum of lives performed, then Persona is a story of performance from the highway to the throne.
lyrics
Enduring Witness
Not tryin’ to hear the name called
But any little influence use it for the unequalled
Presence my commitment submittin’ like show and tell
No stadiums but craniums infants get rocked well
So spell the name right and pronounce the name right
It’s not Kanye but Kurupt and up and onsite
Milli monotone and cyclone Stallone then
Don’t really care what you wearin’ ma marone when
Phone home not alone you can check the basket
Eavesdrop and watch the style is too classic
All-black linen got the all-black fitted
Got the all-black kicks leaves them livid
You want credit bet I never was the fastest
But run it back on a track rappin’ you get lapped kid
Untapped the abstracted facts more willin’ and
Extracted like run this Lord’ll stay chillin’ and
Syllables spillin’ the ruler’s still Rick
Like aren’t you that old rapper chatter kill quick
It’s mixed with cryptic lyrics that still sever-er
Like none other ever-er say I have a plethora
Change like the weather-er or better than he ever dream
Don't mess with no less than verbally amphetamine
Or like gasoline or like plasma
Flow or crashin’ from proper grammar to propaganda
Memoranda mystery mythology
Sin and salvation redemptive any quality
Astronomy astrology the ethno to economy
Is this more pathology honestly my odyssey
Who you wanna be this endurin’ witness
Sharks get bitten what’s the chance or the coincidence
Endurin’ witness this endurin’ witness
Strive to survive now who’s livin’ with the wickedness
Off the balcony a minaret or precipice
Rhythm flip ‘em now the mission beginnin’ like Genesis
I mention this I mention this
Rhythm flip ‘em now the mission beginnin’ like Genesis
Endurin’ witness this endurin’ witness
Strive to survive now who’s livin’ with the wickedness
What is this slickness with quickness
Hurricane Carter trainin’ harder for the fitness
What is this spit this ridiculous
Hurricane Carter trainin’ harder for the fitness
Keep runnin’ or turn myself in
Whether selfish or not gotta save my own skin
